In Michigan we brace ourselves, even after the first day of Spring, for the possibility of an unexpected March snow storm. Even still, I am checking the weather faithfully each morning to see if we will hit the big 6-0. (crosses fingers and wishes on a star)

If you’re anything like me, I bet you’ve already purchased at least half of your wardrobe for the warmer months. If you really want to melt away the last of the winter blues, get your hands on these Spring Beauty Must Haves:

Bright pink lipstick: Welcome spring with a pop of pink on your pout! Variations like coral, peach and lavender are great for those of us who get bored with the classic pink staples. I am obsessed with Wet n Wild’s new Matte Lip crayon in Lie Lack. It is the perfect shade of lavender worn in an unexpected way.

Gel moisturizer: Unless you have perpetually dry skin, free yourself from the heavy winter cream you used when it was still snowing. A lightweight gel moisturizer is just what your face needs for day time and keeps your skin looking fresh and glowing.

Scent: Place your Winter fragrance in semi-retirement and break out the florals. Balenciaga Paris is divine for spring. Daisy by Marc Jacobs and Miss Dior are perennial favorites. When choosing a spring fragrance; think fresh, green and inviting.

Body scrub: What’s the use of showing skin if its scaly and dry? Scrubs do wonders for the the skin. Shea moisture’s Green tea and olive oil scrub is a personal favorite. It softens and leaves you smelling clean with the light scent of olive oil, green tea and avocado. Look for a scrub that buffs and polishes, rather than irritate, such as one containing sugar. Sugar is a natural, gentle exfoliant and energizes the skin.

Alright, the last one is not actually a product but it is a must-do. The best way to work the winter woes out of your body? Let someone lay hands on you! Whether you prefer Swedish, hot rocks or guided meditation, go get a rub down, pronto!
